Full Job Description

As a Senior Sales Manager for the UK, you will build and lead a high impact and diverse team of Account Managers responsible for growing and accelerating adoption and usage of AWS services across UK Energy & Utilities, collaborating with partners to scale and accelerate customer success. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and people management background, as well as a strong technical understanding, and will have worked with key anchor clients in the past. You should bring experience that enables you to help drive engagements at the CxO level as well as with Business Unit leaders talking their industry language and understanding their respective business challenges., The ideal candidate will manage the career growth and development of the team, coach the team to world-class levels of performance, partner effectively with functions including Solution Architecture, Partner Success and Development, Business Development, Marketing, Sales Operations, Product Teams, etc. You must be comfortable with leading and influencing cross functional global teams in dynamic organizations as most of your responsibilities will have inter-dependencies with other teams within AWS.

The right candidate will have successful experience in growth-oriented sales leadership roles in the technology sector. You will need a strong sales and analytical acumen, synthesis, structuring, and problem-solving skills to translate ambiguous and often incomplete information into action plans and insights. You will need a strong bias for 'invention' and 'simplification', demonstrated experience in cross-functional stakeholder management and alignment, solid program management skills, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, and strong data and metrics bias. You will also need passion for narrative style writing for business plans and programmatic initiatives. Lastly, you will need to be comfortable in highly visible executive and senior leadership settings where your perspective, vision, and results will be challenged and inspected.,

  • \tExperience in sales management or equivalent
  • \tExperience in technology related sales, or new business experience in the tech industry
  • \tExperience working with complex IT solutions
  • \tSelf-starter with highly developed interpersonal skills; you are motivated and result oriented
  • \tExperience managing and leading successful sales teams
  • \tExperience working with partners to drive scaling campaigns
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
