Senior Azure Cloud Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Cloud Architect to join a multi-cloud project alongside our Senior AWS Cloud Architect. This role will be instrumental in designing and implementing complex Azure-based cloud solutions while ensuring seamless integration with AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Azure cloud architecture, with a strong focus on security, scalability, and high availability.

Role & Responsibilities:
Architectural Design: Draft and review Azure-specific architectural designs to ensure alignment with business requirements and integration with AWS cloud environments.
Code Development: Write and review code for Azure cloud infrastructure, automation scripts, and integrations, ensuring best practices are followed.
Meetings: Participate in stakeholder meetings to discuss project requirements, progress, and challenges across both Azure and AWS environments.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Azure cloud architectures, processes, and integrations with AWS.
Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training sessions for future team members on Azure cloud technologies and best practices to foster a knowledgeable, multi-cloud team.

Designing Cloud Solutions:
Create scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures using a wide range of Azure services, ensuring smooth integration with AWS.
Develop detailed architectural blueprints and documentation to guide implementation, addressing both Azure and AWS components of the project.

Implementation:
Implement cloud solutions utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
Automate deployment processes and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline operations, ensuring compatibility with both Azure and AWS environments.

Migration:
Migrate existing Azure workloads and services into a unified multi-cloud environment, integrating seamlessly with AWS services.
Lead the migration of on-premises applications and data to the Azure cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

Security:
Implement and maintain Azure-specific security best practices and compliance standards within the cloud environment, integrating with AWS security frameworks where necessary.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to safeguard data and applications across both Azure and AWS clouds.

Optimization:
Monitor cloud performance across both Azure and AWS, optimizing for cost, performance, and scalability.
Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track system health, performance, and multi-cloud interactions.

Collaboration:
Work closely with development teams and the Senior AWS Cloud Architect to ensure smooth integration and operation of multi-cloud solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, enhancing their skills and understanding of both Azure and AWS environments.

Innovation:
Stay updated with the latest Azure services and industry trends, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance cloud infrastructure.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of multi-cloud architectures, integrating new technologies and practices as appropriate.

Support:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure cloud infrastructure and multi-cloud integrations.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Azure environments, ensuring operational excellence and compatibility with AWS solutions.

Azure Expertise: 5+ years of in-depth knowledge of Azure services (eg, Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions) with proven experience in similar roles.
Cloud Architecture: Strong ability to design and build scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure, tailored to organizational needs.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Resource Manager, with a hands-on approach to cloud automation.
Security: Comprehensive understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, ensuring robust security measures in the Azure cloud environment.
Scripting: Proficient in Scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python to enhance automation within Azure environments.
DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, driving a culture of continuous improvement, particularly in multi-cloud environments.

Strong communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams.
