Full Job Description

In this role, the Senior Embedded Software Engineer will be required to design, develop and maintain embedded software functionality for our traffic signs and controllers.,

  • Design, implement, document and maintain software using C, C++, JavaScript, etc
  • Support products running on Linux and/or Keil RTOS
  • Participate in agile activities - daily standups, sprint meetings, peer reviews, code sharing, etc.
  • Follow customer requirements specifications to create functional requirements for software development
  • Follow company and project quality standards
  • Adhere to and develop security standards for our software and systems
  • Consider and introduce methods and tools to improve software quality and delivery performance

    Extensive experience with C, C++ and/or JavaScript
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and associated constraints
  • Ability to understand customer, functional and technical specifications
  • Good organisational skills
  • Capability to work on your own and with peers
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • 2:1 or better Degree (BSc) in Computer Science or or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years embedded software development experience, or 8 years of any software development with a minimum of 1 recent year of embedded experience
  • Working knowledge of Git code management and workflow processes
