Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Pharmacy Technician who would like to join our Procurement and Distribution team in the Pharmacy Department at York Hospital. Applicants must have experience of working within a Pharmacy Stores as well as experience of a procurement environment. Team leading experience and a good understanding of stock management is vital for this post. We are a friendly and innovative department which always thrives on improvement.,

  • Supervising pharmacy assistants, stores supervisor and workflow within pharmacy stores
  • Supporting with training within pharmacy stores and procurement teams
  • Participating in reviewing SOPs
  • Undertaking ward stock reviews and amending ward stock top-ups.
  • Stock control, ordering and supply of medicines to wards.
  • Daily ordering of pharmaceuticals for York Hospital
  • Inputting contracts and dealing with supply issues
  • Working with Senior members of the Procurement and Distribution teams to enable improvement and development in line with the Trusts priorities.
