As the Strategic Portfolio Manager, you will implement, embed and lead an outcome driven governance and funding process across the RM Technology function. Working in partnership with the Business to facilitate quality prioritisation and decision making to maximise value creation and ROCE.
You will implement and lead a seamless end-to-end funding and governance process, driving the platform/product performance review process by ensuring roadmaps and OKRs/KPIs are transparent to leadership and other relevant stakeholders. You will manage and coordinate funding avenues to build alignment on priorities across Tech/Business leadership, enabling optimal resource allocation. You will provide constructive challenge/coaching to product/platform leadership as they prepare and prioritise business cases and other inputs into the funding and governance process. You will also plan and lead delivery of a 'controlled stop' of existing governance as the new modern governance becomes embedded.
To be successful in this role you will:
1. Have 5-10 years' experience in a related Technology role.
2. Be able to demonstrate a track-record of successfully delivering business value and financial outcomes.
3. Be a leader and influence with demonstrable ability to understand, challenge and manage stakeholder needs, navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and influencing, negotiating, and challenging key stakeholders within and outside the Tech function to build alignment and commitment.
4. Deeply understand complex financial analyses, budgets, forecasts, and the financial and business value of investments.
5. Be fluent with data and financial concepts to build insight and clarity on the performance and potential of various investments within the Tech portfolio.
6. Be able to demonstrate the ability to learn from and put into practice external best-practice, and to adapt based on feedback, learning and new priorities.
7. Have a deep understanding of the day-to-day challenges faced by leaders and teams delivering Technology enabled change efforts, ideally with deep knowledge of cutting-edge IT organisational set-ups.
