Full Job Description

  • Be the subject matter expert for selected VAS (Value Added Services) Issuing solutions related to Consumer engagement that determine how users interact with their mobile banking apps (e.g., Visa Digital enablement APIs and SDKs)
  • Continuously assess new product opportunities and innovations as needed to support VAS in delivering on revenue growth ambitions, building on successful implementations and helping the team to grow the pipeline of new projects, both through direct sales approach or Visa resellers
  • Identify and nurture opportunities for Everyday Banking & Lending that span across platforms of Visa and acquired entities (eg product synergies, bundling of solutions, narrative)
  • Manage the product lifecycle in Europe for solutions assigned to. Work with Global product owners to influence the product roadmap, with an eye towards innovation and product improvements to ensure Visa can remain competitive
  • Work closely with VAS, Europe product and market teams, and other Visa companies to help scale projects and define Go-To-Market strategy to expand adoption of VAS (understanding and addressing associated impacts and technical requirements)
  • Collaborating closely with the VAS sales teams in market, driving digital capability deployments, leveraging both internal and third-party solutions
  • Work closely with industry and internal stakeholders across the organisation to understand market needs and improve propositions with existing and additional partnerships, enhancing capabilities, that lead to better competitiveness, as well as pricing impacts and go-to-market requirements
  • Be responsible for propositions, capabilities, partnerships and commercial roadmap for new technologies for the benefit of Visa clients and partners, including existing solutions and those in pilot, early ideation, and concept stages
  • Work closely with Europe hub teams responsible for Core, Credit and Premium products/solutions to ensure programme, annual targets and reporting is aligned on an ongoing basis
  • Drive propositions with other product teams in European markets and look at commercial opportunities to scale/distribute that allows for broadening the offering across markets
  • Manage bespoke billing and contracts lifecycle, dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to all levels of Visa management on key metrics and objectives, adapt overall programme tactics and strategies to address challenges/issues/opportunities
  • Support key priorities and initiatives from both Global and European leadership as required
  • As requirements of this role evolve, adapt to growing needs of the team and broader VAS organisation
  • This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

  • 5+ years of product management in payments product or technology roles
  • Experience leading discussions with clients, 3rd parties and FinTechs, displaying an ability to think laterally, bring new ideas to the table and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Ownership and driving impact are important aspects to the role, must have the mindset to fully understand and quickly overcome commercial, technical, industry and internal challenges to succeed
  • Familiar understanding of digital issuing capabilities, payment processing and core banking and digital payment APIs/ SDKs, to ensure market competitiveness across Europe
  • Industry knowledge of FinTechs, solution providers is a must
  • Curious and inquisitive problem solver - thrives in challenging problems
  • Self-sufficient and able to work independently. Strategic mindset with can-do attitude.
  • Rigorous thinker, ability to transpose business and technical understanding to relevant market inputs with sales and product teams within Visa as well as with external client discussions - leading to commercial & revenue opportunities
  • Understand how to scale and distribute products/services within a technology company
  • Comfortable in iterative and continuous change to maximise opportunities and drive efficiencies
  • Strong ability to progress solutions and enhancements with urgency and prioritised focus for commercial and strategic benefits for our customers and Visa
