Could you be the Senior Volunteering & Community Officer we need to join our team at Morden Hall Park? With experience of volunteer management, and wider partnership working, you'll be able to build effective and collaborative working relationships with local communities and community organisations, combining a passion for engaging the public with a passion for nature and the outdoors., As Senior Volunteering & Community Officer, you'll support us in creating a positive, flexible and inclusive environment for existing and future volunteers, local communities, and partner organisations. Reporting to the Volunteer and Community Manager, you'll be helping make Morden Hall Park a place which attracts diverse communities and all ages, and where everyone feels welcome. You'll be leading on the development, implementation, and evaluation of Morden Hall Park's volunteer and community strategic plan and identifying opportunities to actively engage with local communities, foster opportunities for participation and partnerships and champion the National Trust's Everyone Welcome agenda. You will be building relationships with new audiences and communities to foster a positive reputation and increase our relevance in the local area as well as managing the balance between local community needs and realising our wider public benefit aims. A key aspect of the role will be managing our volunteer network, ensuring people have a voice and an opportunity to share skills. This will include leading Morden Hall Park's Volunteer Forum and the coordination of some of our established volunteer-focused events, from seasonal briefing to volunteer recruitment days. You will also be helping in writing funding applications for projects and producing bid responses in order to meet organisational objectives.
We'd love to hear from you if you have;
- Understanding and good practice of volunteer management.
- Understanding of good practice in community engagement and involvement, as well as broader participation and partnership working.
- Practical and successful experience of developing and implementing new products and approaches to volunteers.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to coach and support those managing, supervising and working alongside volunteers and community partners.
- Strong communication skills.

What you'll be doing You'll be leading and managing the development and delivery of the Morden Hall Park strategic plan for volunteering and communities. Working hours: 37.5hrs Typically, the working hours are 9am-5pm and you'll be part of a Duty Manager rota that will be discussed during the interview. Some weekends and bank holidays working are required.
