Full Job Description

To provide client focused, high quality and responsive specialist legal advice, assistance and representation to the Council in all aspects of Information Governance law, including Data Protection legislation, GDPR compliance, Freedom of Information requests, Data Subject Access Requests, DPIAs and Information Sharing Agreements.
To provide legal advice and operational support to the Data Protection Officer and Information Compliance team.
Develop your skills and competencies in a learning environment which values creativity, teamwork and innovation.
There will be opportunities for continuing professional development through attendance at courses, viewing of webinars and undertaking training sessions for clients.

We are looking for an Information Governance Solicitor or Barrister, preferably with 3 years post-qualified experience. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and a reliable person who is passionate about Information Governance law with a strong focus on client care and customer service.

We are a small team who works closely together to make sure that we are providing the best support to the Council's officers and members. Sometimes the work is challenging however there is also time for finding creative solutions and every day is different.
