Full Job Description

We are looking for a self-motivated, confident and dynamic individual to work as part of a small team providing project, coordination & governance support & resilience to the council in its role as a constituent member of the West of England Combined Authority.
For this role, you will need to be proactive, have excellent communication skills and experience of working with senior stakeholders. You will also need to be flexible, well organised and an active team member.
The role will be fast paced and include a diverse range of tasks, which include producing high quality written documentation and communications, supporting boards and liaising with senior stakeholders and elected members.

Please note the role is a hybrid role, with a minimum requirement of being in the office at least 2-3 days each week.
This role is politically restricted in accordance with the Local Government and Housing Act 1989. This means that you are prevented from having any active political role either in or outside the workplace. Politically restricted employees are disqualified from standing for or holding elected office, and these restrictions are incorporated as terms in an employee's contract of employment under s.3 Local Government Officers (Political Restrictions) Regulations 1990.
You are also prohibited from canvassing on behalf of a political party or a person who is or seeks to be a candidate and from speaking to the public at large or publishing any written or artistic work that could give the impression that they are advocating support for a political party.
