Full Job Description

As the Cloud Transformation and Automation Lead you will be responsible for:

  • driving and developing the DevOps solutions to move SwapClear on the path towards continuous integration and deployment to ultimately shorten the time to market for business and technology change
  • designing, implementing, and overseeing the Cloud migration for SwapClear infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and efficient operations across cloud environments.
  • The role requires a strong strategic mindset and a deep understanding of cloud technologies, along with expertise in DevOps tools, practices, and testing automation orchestration frameworks. The ideal candidate will oversee design and implementation and ensure efficient integration testing to support our change programme.,
  • Cloud Migration Execution: Implement and manage the migration of systems to AWS, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance.
  • DevOps Implementation: Actively drive the transformation by standardizing tools and processes for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Automation and Testing: Develop and execute Testing Orchestration Framework to aid automated in-scrum testing, reduce delivery time, and improve code quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, IT infrastructure, and business stakeholders, to align technology strategies with business goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with cloud migrations and DevOps transformations to ensure project success.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage costs associated with cloud services and infrastructure, ensuring optimal utilization and ROI.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement in operations, encouraging automation, innovation, and best practices in cloud and DevOps environments.
  • Proof of Concept (POC) on New DevOps Tools: Conduct hands-on POCs to evaluate and implement new DevOps tools, enhancing our development and deployment processes.
  • Training and Support: Provide training sessions on tools and best practices to ensure effective use and interpretation.

    Great communication skills
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture and good understanding of best practises
  • Ability to collaborate on ideas and deliver as part of a team
  • Ability to set achievable goals and communicate and lead to get these delivered.
  • Strong technical skills and automation experience.
  • Experience with Cloud pipelines and Services
  • Modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, Stackstorm etc
  • Proficiency in Python and Java.
  • Understanding of financial regulatory requirements related to IT operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Desirable skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with a focus on cloud technologies, DevOps, and infrastructure automation.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance regulations
  • Solid understanding of networking and security
  • Experience working in a hybrid model (cloud and on-prem)
  • Murex Development background with CI/CD experience with Murex
