Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced technician to lead the technician team within Clinical Skills in the School of Medicine. You will line manage a team of technicians, ensuring optimum organisation, maintenance and preparation of teaching/assessment spaces and equipment. You will support the technicians to use and support specialist technologies and to aid students and academic staff before, during and after teaching sessions.
You should have a BTEC High Level (or equivalent) and Health and Safety training.
General working hours during teaching weeks are: 08.00 to 16.00 from Monday to Friday. Some flexibility is required to support departmental needs, which may include occasional alternative working patterns between 07.30 and 20.00. Annual leave should be avoided during the clinical assessment periods (usually Feb/March, June and July).
