Join us as an Advanced Apprentice - Trainee Fitter, where you'll play a vital role in keeping our production plants safe, functional, and efficient. Fitters are essential to the smooth operation of our business, ensuring machinery runs effectively, breakdowns are swiftly managed, and ideas for improvement are implemented. This hands-on role is your opportunity to develop technical skills and embark on an exciting career in manufacturing and engineering. As part of your apprenticeship, you will complete our Professional Maintenance Development Programme, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to excel in this field.   • Work on heavy machinery, ensuring manufacturing plants are safe, functional, and efficient.
  • Complete daily maintenance to a high standard.
  • Conduct mechanical and health and safety tests to ensure systems are reliable.
  • Manage site breakdowns by identifying and repairing faults.
  • Suggest innovative ideas to enhance production efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, prioritising safety in all tasks.
  • Tackle tasks both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in dusty or confined spaces - full protective equipment and safety support will always be provided.

    We are looking for someone who is:
  • Practical - Enjoys a hands-on role and working in varied environments.
  • A good communicator - Able to collaborate effectively with operational teams and stakeholders.
  • Eager to develop - Self-driven to learn both on the job and through structured studies.
  • Detail-oriented - Capable of maintaining high standards in all tasks.
  • Safety-conscious - Committed to fostering a safe working environment for all.
  • Aged 18 or above on 1 September 2025
  • Educational Requirements
  • GCSEs A-C (9-4) in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
