Full Job Description

As part of a team, the post holder will be expected to work closely with their colleagues and work alongside all sub-divisions of CEF. Although based mainly at the PRUH, Orpington, Denmark Hill (TBC) the post holder will be required to work at other sites within the Trust., Carry out FRA's across all sites in the Trust
+ Delivery of all forms of fire training across all sites in the Trust
+ To assist in delivering a quarterly fire safety committee and terms of reference
+ To give advice on complex fire safety arrangements for all new projects across the estate
+ To provide fire prevention advice and specialist fire advice on a day to day basis
+ To keep the fire safety documentation database up to date and current, 1. To be responsible, with management support, for their own personal development and to actively contribute to the development of colleagues.
2. Ensure all office equipment is functioning correctly and arrange for repair or replacement as necessary.
3. To act in a manner which will promote a positive image of King's College Hospital NHS Trust and the CEF Department at all times.
4. To observe and maintain strict confidentiality of personal information relating to patients and staff.
5. The post holder has a general duty of care for their own health, safety and wellbeing and that of work colleagues, visitors and patients within the hospital, in addition to any specific risk management or clinical governance accountabilities associated with this post.
6. To observe the rules, policies, procedures and standards of King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust together with all relevant statutory and professional obligations.

Health and Safety
· The post holder must co-operate with Management in discharging its responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and take reasonable health and safety of themselves and others and to ensure the agreed safety procedures are carried out to maintain a safe environment for patients, employees and visitors.

Risk Management
· To agree and deliver against financial and activity profiles for relevant specialties, identify risks and implement and review risk reduction strategies.
· Develop, implement and review robust systems to effectively manage risk, including ensuring that risk registers are utilized at specialty levels, in order to manage risk and keep the Directorate informed.
· Manage the implementation within relevant specialties of, the provisions of the Trust's H & S Policy and all other policies, procedures and safety rules.
· All staff have a responsibility to report all clinical and non-clinical accidents or incidents promptly and when requested to co-operate with any investigation undertaken.
