Full Job Description

We've changed our name from The Prince's Trust to The King's Trust. Rest assured, the support we offer young people remains the same. This change marks an exciting new chapter for us, and we hope you'll continue supporting us to transform young lives. ------------------------------------ Would you like to be a leader in an organisation that makes every day a chance to create a brighter future for the next generation? The King's Trust is currently going through an exciting period of development. We have ambitions to grow our offer to young people by providing a blended approach of face-to-face and digital delivery and support. To help us on this journey we are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to lead a dynamic team working with volunteers that support young people directly through mentoring work and the delivery of programmes. We are looking for an energetic and confident leader to help us achieve our ambitions across a large geographical area across England. As a volunteering Manager you will have specific responsibility including the recruitment of volunteers into the organisation, our communications plan across England and management of our Young Ambassadors scheme working with young volunteers. A key member of the Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring our volunteers have the best possible experience supporting our young people into outcomes including personal progressions with improvements in life skills , securing a job and sustained self-employment. You will be working collaboratively to help develop and implement our Volunteering strategy for the next 3 years. You will be a role model for your team, demonstrating quality and best practice in how we work with volunteers and young people in a safe way to ensure we deliver outstanding value. A background working in a fast-paced charity setting would be great, along with the ability to build effective relationships and inspire colleagues. To be successful in this role you will be able to engage in challenges with optimism and resilience and be adaptive and flexible - embracing change and innovation. If you are up for a challenge and working in a great team, we would love to hear from you. We are a massive advocate of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and would expect you as a leader to help create an environment where everyone feels seen, by implementing a local action plan that supports our big-picture EDI goals. Let's make positive change happen!

Last year, we helped more than 40,000 Young People, with three in four young people on our programmes moving into a positive outcome in work, education or training. The young people we help face a range of challenges, such as unemployment, mental health issues or some who have been in trouble with the law. We believe all young people should have the chance to succeed, and that young people are the key to a positive and prosperous future for all of us. We want to continue having a positive impact on young people's lives and we couldn't do this without the important work of Volunteering Managers! Perks for working at The Trust!
