The purpose of the role is to manage the strategic development of the WFM scheduling, task management and reporting systems and intranet. To ensure alignment with business objectives and to offer insight to solutions that enable the achievement of all sales, profitability, customer experience and workforce management goals across the UK and Ireland.

Role overview:

Either Directly or through leadership of the team, the role holder is responsible for:

-Interfacing with the retail leadership team to provide subject matter expertise on the capabilities of our WFM intranet and WFM systems. To advise on the best solution to meet business objectives.
-Managing overall demand and workload within the development team, ensuring delivery of appropriate analytics and development on time and within budget.
-Maintaining a relationship with third parties (retailers, software suppliers and consultants) to understand new opportunities in the market, trends and established best (common) practice.
-Supporting the WFM Leadership Team with actionable insight in order for recommendations to be made every week to deliver the commercial plan, improve operational efficiency and delight customers.
-Providing support and insight for all new requests for reporting and systems insight which support the delivery of our business goals whilst remaining aligned to our company values and the Customer Promise and challenging where they do not.
-Managing and leading with the strategic enhancement and development of our WFM intranet site and WFM System to help deliver business objectives.
-Managing ongoing BAU support and activities required to keep the WFM running for our store and retail teams.
-Management of T&A integrity checks and the resolution (directly or through thirds parties or team members) of any issues to ensure store-based colleagues are paid correctly.
-Management and sign off of all WFM systems UAT.
-Management of WFM systems maintenance, upgrades and patching plan (from a BAU perspective) to ensure the system is available and fit for purpose.

You will need:

-Experience in leading a team - role modelling Currys values to help deliver value to our customers
-Expert knowledge of Retail and Store operations.
-Experience in delivering complex projects essential.
-Understanding of WFM and T&A processes and best practice essential.
-Understanding of WFM, T&A and task management systems (Reflexis) highly desirable.
-Understanding and experience in SQL and intranet design desirable.
-Problem Solving - Ability to analyse and understand requirements and recommend strategic solutions to achieve business goals.
-Data Evaluation Skills - Ability to identify trends, underlying root causes, variation and deviation Results Focused - Delivers work end to end in a planned and controlled manner.
-Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
-Experience in continuous process improvement and realisation of benefits.
-Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
-Experience in building and reviewing business cases and cost/benefit analysis.
-Experience in continuous improvement within a retail environment and realisation of benefits.
-Evidence of delivering simple solutions to end users with all complexity done behind the scenes.
-Lean six sigma or Prince 2 qualifications or experience is highly desirable.
