Full Job Description
We are thrilled to announce a new opportunity as a Project Manager within our External Contracts and Delivery team. As a key member of our growing team, you will support the delivery of capital investment projects and major refurbishments across your area, coordinating a range of complex improvement works across specialist schemes and high-rise buildings. Your main tasks will include managing, monitoring and reporting on project progress within set timelines, inspecting work in progress to ensure quality standards and contract compliance. You will instruct consultants to produce contract documentation, such as project drawings, employer requirements, pre-construction H&S information, and specifications, and be responsible for reviewing them ensuring they meet relevant standards. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies for the project you are delivering that will include stakeholder consultation meetings and events, keeping communities informed about upcoming works and holding feedback sessions to improve our services. You will be responsible for ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with CDM and Building Safety Regulations.
Excellent construction knowledge and communication skills are essential for this role. A good knowledge of commercial Mechanical and Electrical components and Fire Safety and experience of leading on projects within High Rise Buildings would be desirable.,
- Experience in the construction sector (or equivalent) with a sound knowledge of current construction and health & safety regulations.
- Proven experience of managing construction (residential new build and/or refurbishment) works, including experience of managing large refurbishment projects
- Up to date knowledge of Fire Safety measures
- Experience of managing Contractors with a CDM environment and of monitoring and controlling budgets to ensure value for money for the organisation
- Experience of communicating with a wide range of people
- Ability to travel across the Group's geographical area, focusing primarily on Leicestershire but including the surrounding areas of Lincolnshire and up into Derbyshire., If you're a motivated Project Manager with a passion for high-quality refurbishments and a desire to help improve housing experiences, we want to hear from you!
