Full Job Description
- Liaise with school staff regarding examination entries, and manage the daily running of the exams.
- Submit entries for external examinations to awarding bodies in advance of deadlines.
- Answer queries regarding examinations with staff, students and parents.
- Organise exam materials, providing safe custody of and organising examination stationery and materials.
- Organise the examination rooms and seating plans.
- Provide a timetable to include dates, times, venues and number of students.
- Arrange invigilation, including briefing and training invigilators in school procedures.
The ideal candidate for this Examinations Officer role may have previous experience of organising the examinations in accordance with regulations within schools. Experience of SIMS will be an advantage., Have excellent administration skills, computer literacy and be highly efficient and organised. - Have a clear commitment to safeguarding.
- Be articulate and able to deal sensitively with a variety of situations with pupils, teachers, examination invigilators, parents and examination board representatives.
