Full Job Description

This post is an exciting post for an experienced individual looking to expand their knowledge in a transport environment. In this department we give varied support to clinical and non-clinical teams. As well as gaining experience with the range of vehicles we have, this position will allow the successful applicant to expand their knowledge and connections within the trust.

This role is suitable for any individual with the ability to work in a safe, courteous and confidential manner whilst following Trust Policy. We are committed to developing and supporting the successful applicant in all aspects of the role. This is a great opportunity to lead a motivated team with a diverse range of colleagues, develop analysis skills and communication and relationship skills.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting with the operational management of the Non-Patient Transport Services department and the associated tasks, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of the service on a day-to-day basis., The Deputy Non-Patient Transport Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Non-Patient Transport Team Leader, drivers and will deputise for the Non-Patient Transport Manager in their absence. They will support the Non-Patient Transport Manager and work effectively with other departments such as finance, Human Resources and Health and Safety to ensure that the department is managed in line with Trusts policies and procedures.

The successful applicant is required to be helpful and respectful to patients', staff and visitors whilst always maintaining confidentiality. They will maintain high quality standards and will always conduct themselves in a professional manor. They will assist in developing the service and creating a better future for the department and trust.

As and when required the post holder may work shifts in any area/location of the Trust and may be asked to carry out duties in other departments within the Facilities Directorate.
