Full Job Description

In this critical leadership role, you will spearhead the seamless integration of the finance function for newly acquired US businesses into the Malvern Panalytical platform. Your focus will be on unifying systems, processes, and teams, with a key responsibility to drive the deployment of SAP S/4HANA across these US entities. You'll play a crucial part in aligning financial reporting, compliance, and controls to Malvern Panalytical standards, ensuring a smooth transition and maximizing synergies across operations. This is a high-impact position that demands exceptional project management skills, deep technical finance expertise, and thorough knowledge of both US and UK accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory frameworks. What you will bring to the role:

  • Develop and execute a detailed finance integration roadmap aligned with the overall acquisition strategy
  • Collaborate with US and UK teams to establish unified financial policies, processes, and controls
  • Lead SAP S/4HANA implementation in the US, coordinating with UK systems and overseeing system upgrades and data migration
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and compliance with US GAAP and tax laws
  • Streamline finance processes (AP/AR, month-end, budgeting) across entities, driving automation and efficiency
  • Team Leadership: Manage cross-functional finance teams and collaborate closely with Group Finance, IT, and external consultants
  • Proactively identify and address integration risks, managing change controls to ensure operational continuity

    CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification
  • Extensive experience in finance leadership roles, ideally within M&A integration or complex corporate finance functions
  • Skilled in managing complex, cross-regional projects, coordinating across multiple time zones
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Experienced in driving change and implementing scalable processes in rapidly growing organizations
  • Proven expertise in SAP S/4HANA implementation or in-depth knowledge of finance ERP systems
  • Strong familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations in both the US and UK.
  • Previous experience integrating finance functions across international entities is highly advantageous
