Full Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Skills and Employability to join our Education Development Trust UK extended leadership team.

As Head of Skills and Employability you will provide professional management and operational oversight of specific programmes within a changing portfolio of Skills and Employability contracts, ensuring the achievement of agreed programme aims and objectives and agreed financial and quality performance.

The Head of Skills & Employability will also work closely with the UK Skills Director to plan and implement effective strategies for relevant contracts, ensuring the development of critical relationships with stakeholders and partners with a view to growing the portfolio in the relevant area and contributing to the overall UK growth plan and strategic objectives.

Have in-depth knowledge of contract management and programme delivery across either/both Skills and Employability, with a particular focus on developing high performance delivery teams
Have knowledge of current legislation, strategy and public policy relating to the wider Skills and Employability areas
Be able to demonstrable knowledge of relevant funding streams within the portfolio areas with in-depth understanding of the changing landscape of Skills and Employability funding.
Have detailed knowledge of governance and delivery models
Be able to provide evidence of post qualification CPD and ongoing professional development within a specific area
Confident and capable professional with demonstrable experience of leading contract performance
Have significant experience of business planning
Proven track record of successfully managing multi pound budgets across a multitude of diverse/complex funding streams within the skills and employability sectors
Experience of leading teams through successful auditing and quality assurance activities e.g. Matrix, Ofsted
Demonstrable evidence of coaching an experienced, successful management team
Proven experience of representing an organisation at the highest levels externally, Disability Confident

Salary circa £70,000.00 per annum based on working 35 hours per week.
