Full Job Description

AsHealthy Child Practice Manager, you will:

  • be at the forefront of managing change, driving performance and continuous improvement whilst leading high-quality services and effective ways of working
  • lead the teams in their planning and reviewing of service delivery to ensure that this is of high quality to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and their families
  • directly manage and lead staff, alongside resources and projects which focus on the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual wellbeing of children and their family, from pregnancy to 5 years through the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and the Childrens Centre Statutory Framework as outlined in the Health and Childrens Centre Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and in accordance with our clinical governance framework
  • alongside other public-sector partners, voluntary sector, and communities to engage and enable community led activity through the Health and Childrens Centres, developing resilient communities which rely less on public services., relate closely to the needs of the community and the reach profile of the areaserved by the centre and team
  • target the largest resource to the highest need, whilst ensuring appropriate universal provision is accessible for all
  • help children, young people, and their families regardless of where they live inSuffolk
  • develop independence rather than dependency
  • strive to ensure services are not hard to access
  • strengthen the family network and build family resilience
  • help build a stronger community where families have a sense of belonging
  • Suffolk Health (0-19/25 for SEND) and Childrens Centres will support the development of children, young people, and their families through reducing social isolation, promoting wellbeing, increasing parental capacity, and supporting access to training and employment.
