Full Job Description

Pinnacle Group are looking for a Museum Assistant based at large complex which comprises of a public library, office accommdation and a museum. The post holder will work within the FM team specifically providing assistance in the Museum during opening hours, carrying out various duties centred on a very customer focused environment. You will be joing our Total FM team. The Total FM team provides integrated asset management and maintenance services across the education, leisure, corporate, health and living sectors to ensure facilities operate at their best. The hours for this role are as follows:

  • 9am to 5.30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays
  • 9am to 8pm on Thursdays
  • 9am to 12pm on Saturdays, As a member of the Museum team provide support to a wide and diverse range of activities and assistance in the day-to-day running of the Museum and as directed by Assistant Facilities Manager in liaison with Museum Curator.
  • Undertake the collection of data on visitor levels in person and on online platforms, conduct visitor satisfaction surveys and provide monthly reports on the results.
  • Checking of consumable supplies (museum souvenirs), re-stock as necessary and ensuring appropriate stock sheets are updated periodically.
  • Provide assistance on the sales counter handling cash and card transactions and operate till.
  • Assist learning team with the organisation of school group visits and marketing of learning programmes.
  • Key Requirements

  • Good standard of physical fitness as role will involve lifting and moving some of the artefacts.
  • Willingness to work Saturday and some Saturday evenings.
  • Ability to handle awkward customers while enforcing museum rules and regulations.
  • Willingness to learn and attend training as requested by Museum Curator.
