WHAT TO EXPECT Acting as a key member of the Health Safety and Wellbeing leadership team, you'll be responsible for providing leadership to the nursing team, key stakeholders and colleagues across all functions within the business. This is a fantastic opportunity within an award-winning team, which will allow you to lead on making a positive impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of employees and manage proactive sickness absence case management, health surveillance, travel and related medical, safety and wellbeing advice to customers in the business. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: You'll act as the clinical lead for the OH departments in the UK, whilst providing leadership and strategic direction to the OH teams across all of JLR's sites. As part of the Senior Management team, you will formulate and ensure the implementation of appropriate OH strategies to meet business needs. In your capacity as Occupational Health Manager, you will hold clinical responsibility for leadership of:

  • OH service delivery to the business, including the management of external OH suppliers
  • Ensure that all members of the OH team understand their role and can deliver and proactively manage the team accordingly
  • Design and manage the governance of the OH team including complaint investigations and resolution, SEQHOS accreditation and the other associated activities.
  • Assist with budget and resource planning
  • Provide high level support to the nursing team including advice on the management of specific cases that do not need a face-to-face consultation.
  • Provide support to safety and wellbeing colleagues on clinical issues and support.

    A wealth of experience within Occupational Health service delivery experience
  • Good working knowledge of UK equality laws such as Equality Act
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience of Occupational Health Management
  • Experience of managing large scale budgets
