Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Management (FM) Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement of both hard and soft services. This role requires a strategic and proactive individual who will develop sourcing strategies and ensure the highest quality of service and value for money. The ideal candidate has a strong background in facilities management procurement, including areas such as planned and reactive building maintenance, cleaning, security, landscaping, and other operational services.,
- Lead the development and implementation of effective category strategies for both hard and soft services, delivering optimum value for money, cost savings and risk management.
- Conduct market research to understand trends, risks, and opportunities within the facilities services market.
- Maintain and grow the Preferred Supplier List by sector, region and category. Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, service, and cost criteria.
- Review and agree terms and conditions in line with the Delegation Authority Matrix and be the second level of escalation for all Supplier contractual disputes.
- Collaborate with the Commercial team to deliver the resolution of contractual escalations.
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process for hard and soft services, including preparing and managing Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and conducting full tender exercises.
- Own and validate all FM procurement savings initiatives by proactively working with the Finance team to ensure Procurement savings are accurately tracked, measured and validated.
- Monitor and mitigate risks associated with the category, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and sustainability practices.
Degree level qualification. - CIPS Level 4 is mandatory
- Proven experience in a Category or Procurement Manager or similar role within facilities management, with a deep understanding of hard and soft services and the Procurement lifecycle with a minimum of 5 years experience in relevant roles.
- Strong procurement and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of managing tender processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management abilities.
- A demonstrable track-record of delivering against savings targets within complex multi-stakeholder environments
