Full Job Description

In this role, you will own the operational resource planning of the permanent and contractor workforce in Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT). Providing intelligent resourcing data and management information reporting to the senior leadership team and wider business, your insights will enable DDaT to achieve its strategic people goals and objectives. Your reporting insights will be informed through partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a holistic view of the permanent and contractor workforce.   • Lead and drive the demand and supply sourcing scenario across DDaT.
  • Manage the relationship with the senior leadership team so the changing needs of the business are known and fulfilled.
  • Define and implement effective resource sourcing management policies, processes, and practices.
  • Supply resources to DDaT in agreed timescales via external suppliers.
  • Drive the DDaT recruitment plan requirements in support of HR, enabling appropriate capability across the function.
  • Facilitate resource prioritisation and contention resolution.
  • Manage the headcount plan for permanent and contractor staff in collaboration with Finance.
  • Maintain the resource plan in conjunction with HR, Finance, and senior stakeholders.
  • Own and manage the relationship with the Network Rail Service Provider for contractors on behalf of DDaT, acting as the key link into the Single Market Interface.

    Significant experience and successful track record in sourcing models and supply management.
  • Experience of setting and managing budgets and cost centres.
  • Extensive experience of IT environments >500 IT staff.
  • Significant experience of supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including highly effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to communicate and present at all levels to executive level.
  • Ability to influence at a strategic level including ability to formulate business strategies.

  • Knowledge of Network Rail and rail industry.
  • Educated to degree level.
