Full Job Description

At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement. Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office. Role: This role is important to the success of Honda (UK) Car Sales Operations providing support to both the retail and corporate functions. The successful candidate will be involved at the heart of current and future sales strategy. With leadership and development responsibility for a team of two, the role provides planning, analysis, implementation and development of sales programmes and systems to ensure achievement of the Honda (UK) objectives within the defined budget. Main Responsibilities:

  • Creation and ownership of the Honda UK sales forecast submissions to Honda Motor Europe
  • Regular analysis of national sales data and operator performances to make informed business recommendations on sales strategy.
  • Maintain, influence and develop the internal reports for sales volume and profit performance.
  • Develop, enhance and implement business critical tools and provide data intelligence to support strategic decisions and operational efficiency.
  • Responsible for checking all Retail and Corporate Sales Support payments.
  • Effective communication across sales operations to improve teamwork, decision making, problem solving and provide consistent and clear messaging.
  • Project management of the Retailer Target Project - manage external agencies to effectively deliver our volume ambition. Strong knowledge of market conditions and industry performance to successful role out the annual Retailer targets to our Regional teams.
  • Budgetary control and accountability for Retailer Support Payments.
  • + Main contact for internal and external stakeholders for the reporting suites used - Fleet Contract Directory + Sales Planning System + Retailer Target System + Retailer target delivery tools, processes and maintenance + Market Intelligence System
  • Coach, Develop and Lead a well established and experienced team of two to be the main point of contact for the Regional and Corporate teams for all reporting and sales support queries.
  • Responsibility for the management and effective use of the Departments budget. Monthly reporting of expenditure and budgetary control.
  • Presenting the sales support strategy and target methodology to regional field teams, with visits to our dealer partners where required.
  • Analyse all areas of HME-UK stock profile to aid the disposal of over aged units via the logistics/sales field team.
