Full Job Description

  • To be responsible for the receipt and distribution of Sterile Surgical Instrumentation and the collection and dispatch of used/soiled Surgical Instrumentation to and from all areas of Trust
  • + Liaise with Logistics team to ensure appropriate return of used/soiled Surgical Instrumentation. + To be responsible for ensuring that all instrumentation movement is recorded using specialist computer database software and scanning equipment. + Identify process improvement opportunities and present plans for improvement + To be responsible for the creation and maintenance of tray history records and all associated spreadsheets and files. To be accountable for checking and amending the data produced by Service Users, Service Provider and Sterile Services Assistants in relation to tray history and reporting discrepancies in the appropriate manner. + To raise requisitions for supplies needed either paper based or electronically
