Full Job Description
Joining our Children's Services Future4me team as a Youth Offending Team worker presents an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing service committed to effectively supporting children to change their behaviour through Statutory Court Orders, as well as through our diversionary and early intervention work.
What you'll be doing
Joining us, you will be working in a challenging but supportive environment. You will manage and conduct a range of assessments, contribute to the planning and delivery of interventions across a broad variety of practice. You will be part of a Court Duty Rota as well as holding a case load consisting of adolescents at risk of further offending, working with them and their families to support them to reduce their risk. There is scope to be creative in the delivery of your work - and of course we'll give you all the specialist training and development you need to do a fantastic job.
We currently have one vacancy for a 12 month fixed term Youth Offending Team Worker based in our locality team in Lincoln and West Lindsey. This could be a secondment opportunity for an internal candidate.
Experience of working with complex adolescents and/or experience of working within the Criminal Justice System.
Ability to undertake written assessments and deliver interventions to children and young to reduce the risk of reoffending
Confidence to challenge and advocate on behalf of children in a wide variety of settings, including in the Court Arena.
Passion and enthusiasm for working with complex adolescents, with an understanding of the importance of diversion from the Criminal Justice System., In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post., Disability Confident

Future4Me launched Countywide in February 2019 and brought together the Council's core offer to adolescents by building on the Youth Offending Team, Youth Hub and Early Help. Focusing on supporting young people aged 14-18, we have a dedicated hub comprising of staff with a focus on youth housing, diversion from youth justice, child exploitation, community interventions as well as our Psychology team.
The hub works to support our frontline practitioners, based in the localities, delivering interventions and services to children, and families.
Please note this role requires weekend work on a rotational basis.
