Full Job Description

We are seeking and enthusiastic and highly motivated dispensing assistant who will be able to support a busy pharmacy reception. The post holder will support the dispensary in providing a friendly , professional, and informative front-line service to all our customers. Support will be given to answering the telephone and dealing wither tracker and simple internal and external queries. You should have an NVQ level 2 in pharmacy service or a recognised equivalent qualification. We welcome applicants from individuals working in community pharmacy who would like to start a career in hospital pharmacy, with training provided.,

  • To assist in the provision of a safe and efficient pharmacy service
  • Deal with day-to-day enquiries from staff members, the public, patients, and other hospital depts in a courteous , efficient and timely manner
  • As part of the pharmacy team ensure that all Trust and National targets are continually achieved. Ensure that the department continues to maintain their KPI target. Ensuring that all prescription tracking is carried out at all times.
  • To receive, dispense, hand out prescriptions and provide other support services to the Pharmacy department, including the receipt of orders and the supply of medicines to wards and departments

    You must possess good communication skills, be flexible, committed and be a good team player.
  • Computer experience and good IT skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Good time management
  • Able to work in a busy environment.
  • You will be expected to participate in our late night ,weekend and bank holiday rota.
