Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Assistant - Conveyancing to join our Conveyancing team based in Worcester. As a Legal Assistant you will be dealing with all aspects of property resales for the business and the main focus of the role will be to support the delivery of conveyancing services in line with legal obligations and the Group's policies. The role of Legal Assistant - Conveyancing will include:

  • Supporting the timely processing of enquiries/applications including re-sales, assignments, staircasing, lease extensions
  • Supporting and progressing administrative tasks for the team which will include for example set up of new files, responding to re-sale enquiries, preparation of leasehold information packs and post completion tasks
  • Providing a range of support and guidance services to relevant third parties concerning the above applications and enquiries
  • Undertaking affordability assessments
  • Communicating with different teams to request and gain information to then report this back to stakeholders and management
  • Coordinating an effective legal administrative service, ensuring relevant activity is accurately recorded and maintained in line with corporate compliance
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders

    Proven experience within a similar administrative role is essential
  • Previous experience within a customer service focused admin role
  • A working knowledge of housing regulations, legislation and current practice
  • High accuracy with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with a good telephone manner
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams or similar

  • £26,982 per annum (pro rata)
  • The full time equivalent salary for this role is £26,982 based on 35 hours per week rising to £28,402 after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance
