Full Job Description

GAVO supports, facilitates and brokers positive change in the Well-being of people and communities through collaborative approaches, A key community-based role, ensuring third sector participation in the Health, Social Care and Well-Being agenda at a local and regional level. Developing and supporting relationships with community organisations and health care providers through information exchange and joint initiatives.

An energetic and resourceful communicator with a passion for a healthy, happy community. An effective team player, able to participate and contribute at forums and groups to influence best practice and positive outcomes. The knowledge and understanding of relevant health and social care legislation is essential.

Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations (GAVO) is the largest County Voluntary Council (CVC) in Wales, supported by a Board of Trustees. We deliver our services across four Local Authority areas in Gwent; Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire and Newport. Our vision is to be the pivotal Organisation that guides and drives a society where communities, individuals and organisations work together in a culture of equality, shared ownership, responsibility and support to build a sustainable future for all.

Salary Scp 28 - 32 £28,635 - £32,675 pa pro rata
30 Hours per week (Work Pattern to be agreed)
Based in Caerphilly
Funded by Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (initially until 31st March 2027), 33 days' annual leave including bank holidays plus an additional 5 GAVO holidays
