Full Job Description

As a Fall Protection Sales Specialist for the Personal Safety Division , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Achieving sales and margin targets quarterly, under an annual sales plan.
  • Identifying and wining opportunities as required under sales plan.
  • Work with end customers to advise and promote 3M Fall Protection Solutions.
  • Manage the sales pipeline with the Distributor network through effective relationships and strong communication
  • Develop 3M brand loyalty across end customers and Distributors
  • Ensure accurate communication of product updates and development
  • Collaborate with 3M technical teams to ensure a high level of on-site support where required
  • Identify and share leads with 3M colleagues for products/solutions outside core specialism.
  • Develop and maintain market, industry and product knowledge.
  • Collect and disseminate (internally) market trends and competitor activity.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date data within a CRM system and other appropriated systems.
  • Ensure all administration /planning is accurate and completing on time and in full.

  • Good standard of education
  • Strong knowledge of the Fall Protection market is essential
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization both externally and internally
  • A self-starter with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Numerate and proficient with analysis and manipulation of data.
  • Proficient in use of IT tools, Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills - written and verbal.
  • Competitive & Proactive instinct - takes initiative on issues and challenges to find optimum solutions.
  • Tenacious, resilient - ability to navigate through conflict and challenges towards positive outcome, retaining focus and perspective.

  • Additional qualifications, skills and experience that could help you succeed even further in this role include
  • Have a passion for sales and exceeding targets.
  • Basic knowledge of the related EN standards would be preferable
  • A know;ledge of Horizontal Systems Fall Protection training
  • Travel: Field based sales role with expectation to travel across the territory up to 75% Sales Area: Midlands/Southern UK Ideal candidate location: Within the defined territory preferably across the South Midlands down towards London
