Full Job Description

As an Industrial Air Sales Engineer, your responsibility is to maximise the profitability of the CTS business across the territory by promoting sales and service to new and existing customers, in accordance with agreed business plans. The Role:

  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contract towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity.
  • Undertake proposals, including the calculation of sales prices to achieve sales of the region.
  • Generate proposals for the renewal, extension, or alternation of existing contracts.
  • Support sales through undertaking site surveys and providing technical advice to both existing and potential customers.
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships at all levels within the area and ensure an excellent standard of after sales service is provided.
  • Support sales through the effective provision of sales data, including the timely recording of visit and action reports (including lost order reports) and analysis of sales performance again budgets.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to enhance company image and increase sales.
  • Liaise with colleagues and other parts of the group to co-ordinate activities where appropriate to ensure that sales are obtained.
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
  • Attend sales meetings and ensure that all subsequent action required is undertaken.

    Proven sales experience
  • A technical background or qualification - although this is not essential. If you have a good sales background, positive attitude, and aptitude to learn, we can teach you the rest!
  • Experience or knowledge of the compressed air industry ideally also within the water industry sector.
  • A full UK driving licence - this is a field-based role, and you will be travelling on a daily basis across your region.
  • Ability to travel daily across the Midlands Region. Plus ad hoc travel to other office locations across the UK as and when required.
  • Excellent IT skills, and desire to learn new systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
