The Parts Advisor will play a crucial role in delivering a high level of service and ensuring that our parts operations run smoothly. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service and Sales Support:
Assist customers, technicians, and service advisors by identifying and sourcing the correct parts, offering product advice, and providing pricing information. - Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records, process stock orders, and ensure availability of parts to support efficient service operations. - Order Processing:
Handle parts orders from initial request to delivery, ensuring prompt and accurate completion of orders. - Parts Identification:
Utilize parts catalogues and systems to identify and locate parts, ensuring accuracy in part numbers and descriptions. - Supplier and Vendor Coordination:
Liaise with suppliers to manage parts orders, track shipments, and resolve any discrepancies or delays. - Stock Control and Replenishment:
Conduct regular stock checks, identify low stock levels, and replenish inventory as needed to avoid shortages and support business demands. - Documentation and Records Management:
Accurately record all parts transactions, maintain invoices and receipts, and ensure documentation complies with company policies.
- Experience:
- Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
- Familiarity with parts ordering, inventory management, and customer service.
- Product Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of automotive or commercial vehicle parts and their applications. - Customer Service Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing high-quality customer support. - Attention to Detail:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in parts identification and inventory records. - IT Skills:
Proficient in using inventory management software, parts catalogues, and Microsoft Office Suite. - Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support other departments as needed.
