Job Title: Parts Business Development Manager
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum + commission/bonus + Van 
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and driven Parts Business Development Manager to join our team in Basingstoke. This role is ideal for someone with a background in commercial vehicle parts sales who is passionate about expanding market reach, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth. As a Parts Business Development Manager, you will work with multi-brand commercial vehicle parts, focusing on both existing and new client opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development:
    Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities in the commercial vehicle parts market to expand our client base and increase sales revenue.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Strategy Execution:
    Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to market needs, focusing on product knowledge, value-added solutions, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Market Analysis:
    Conduct market research to understand customer demands, competitor offerings, and emerging trends, ensuring our product range remains competitive and relevant.
  • Product Knowledge:
    Maintain a comprehensive understanding of multi-brand commercial vehicle parts, including product specifications and applications, to provide clients with expert guidance.
  • Target Achievement:
    Set and achieve monthly and annual sales targets, reporting on key performance indicators and adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams:
    Work closely with the Parts, Sales, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery, accurate inventory management, and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Promotion of New Products:
    Launch new products within the existing client base and target market, identifying customer segments and potential sales channels.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience:
    • Proven track record in business development or sales within the commercial vehicle parts industry.
    • Experience selling multi-brand commercial vehicle parts is highly desirable.
  • Sales and Negotiation Skills:
    Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills with the ability to communicate product value effectively.
  • Relationship Building:
    Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Product Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of commercial vehicle parts across various brands and applications.
  • Analytical Skills:
    Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to support decision-making.
  • Goal-Oriented:
    Self-motivated, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Driving License:
    Full, clean UK driving license (role may require travel within the region).
