Full Job Description

The Sales Account Manager / Director will be responsible for the business of the assigned customers. This covers the customer sales strategy, forecast, revenues, margins and the budget.

  • Creation and communication of account sales strategy, including contribution to business plan.
  • Establishing key customer relationships.
  • Negotiation of contract and agreements, including upkeep of same, with customer and Adtran internal departments.
  • Overall revenue and margin responsibility for the assigned accounts or channels.
  • Communication, coordination and securing agreement of global strategy across regional teams within Adtran.
  • Presentation and successful positioning of Adtran products and services.
  • Enabling and pre-sales and post-sales support for the account
  • Implementing and controlling of the sales processes for the account including forecasting / Salesforce updates, customer service, tracking of overdue invoices, loan planning, monthly reporting, and quality programs
  • Supporting sales input to Product Line Management and Business development.

    Ideally Technical Degree (physics, electrical engineering, telecoms or similar)
  • Relevant experience to match role seniority.
  • Able to thrive in collaborative, complex technical sales environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Successful sales track record in telecoms industry.
  • Winning mentality, strong time management / organisational skills and solid work ethic.
  • Good English skills (spoken and written).
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Self-starter with ability to act independently as required.
  • Technical knowledge of optical Transport and/or Access, IP Networking, etc.
