Full Job Description

A Software Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and the IT development team. They analyze business processes, identify needs, and develop strategies to improve business processes using software solutions. They ensure that software development aligns with business objectives and requirements.The preferred location will be in Vancouver, Canada or Fareham, United Kingdom. As a Business Analyst, your work will focus on these responsibilities Gathering and Analysis:

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Document and translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories.
  • Conduct gap analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as a liaison between the business side and the development team.
  • Facilitate communication and ensure mutual understanding between stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate priorities.
  • Project Management Support:
  • Support project planning, monitoring, and reporting activities.
  • Assist in creating project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and address issues that may arise.

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience and knowledge of Marine Industry, Port Operation will be an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

    For applicants that reside in BC Canada, the annual salary wage range is $60,000 CAD - $80,000 CAD. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate's relevant education, individual skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration of internal equity.
