Full Job Description
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team. NWAT is a specialist NHS Regional Service providing assistive technology, advice and support to patients with complex needs, to enable them to retain greater independence in their place of residence. It serves a population of almost 7 million people living in the Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside, Lancashire and South Cumbria Region. The service provides environmental control equipment to enable patients with complex needs to enhance their independence within their home environment, which may include the installation of technology to access remote control telephones, bed controls, intercoms, sockets and entertainment equipment.,
- To provide comprehensive administration support to the NWAT Multi-disciplinary team which is made up of Rehabilitation Engineers, Occupational Therapists and Admin - to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care
- To act as point of contact for all forms of communication for Health and Social Care Professionals, patients and carers to support the delivery of a high-quality service to patients and staff
- To record and analyse agreed data for the NWAT MDT Team in accordance with Trust and National Guidelines (NHS England Service Specification for the Provision of Environmental Control Equipment for Patients with Complex Needs
- To be responsible for co-ordinating key Team meetings with appropriate staff to ensure outcomes are notified to the appropriate staff within agreed time frames
- To ensure communication regarding patient care is prompt and to ensure all messages received via the NWAT user helpline are dealt with effectively To organise activity in line with NWAT MDT Team and Trust policy.
- To co-ordinate aspects of meetings related to the NWAT team including maintaining a diary, confirming staff availability, booking rooms, constructing agendas, taking accurate minutes and distributing notes. Ensure all outcomes are documented.
- To provide administrative support to the NWAT MDT Team including organising meetings, contacting patients and arranging appointments, supporting Induction and Study Days both internally and externally., To provide a comprehensive administration support to the NWAT team to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care. To act as point of contact for all forms of communication for Health and Social Care Professionals, patients and carers to support the delivery of a high quality service to patients and staff
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Care, Use of computer systems
- Previous healthcare sector experience
- Previous clerical experience Desirable criteria
- Previous clerical experience, Excellent communication skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to use own initiative
- Enthusiastic and hard working
- Can prioritise workload by use of time management
- Knowledge of IT packages (Microsoft Office / Excel / Access), Willingness to work flexibly across sites when required
- Ability and willingness to undertake further training as necessary
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
