Full Job Description

We now have a vacancy for a part time, Band 3, Safeguarding Children's Team Administrator. The Safeguarding Administrator will work as part of the integrated administration team, providing support to the Named and Specialist Nurses along with being the point of contact to both internal and external practitioners. Safeguarding work is varied and challenging. The post holder will strive to provide a high level of customer service which promotes good engagement with the safeguarding team. In return, they will join a supportive team environment with opportunities for personal development. Due to the nature of the service, the post holder will be party to information that may be distressing on a regular basis. Support and supervision is provided to all staff for this reason.

  • Provide a full range of Administration duties to the team.
  • Maintenance of databases and electronic systems to record activity and compliance for the team.
  • Dissemination of safeguarding information to internal/external professionals, as directed by senior nurses, ensuring safe methods of communication are used at all times.
  • Receipt of incoming mail, telephone calls, and e-mails.
  • Triage of calls to the team from professionals recording and escalating these calls as appropriate via an established duty system.
  • Typing of reports, minutes, agendas, general correspondence, presentational material, etc.
  • Other administrative tasks as appropriate.
  • Produce reports and circulate to the wider team.
  • Maintenance of filing systems.
  • Photocopying and collation of documents.
  • Assistance with formatting rotas for the team
  • Any other duties within the general scope and context of this post.
