Full Job Description

Area Business Manager
Location: Scotland

This position will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the UK strategic vision for McCormick Merchandising services (MMS), under the day-to-day management of the UK Field Controller. Managing field-based merchandisers, driving compliance across store estate, ensuring availability of the Schwartz and McCormick brands in stores.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

-Maintain a high performing team of up to 16 Merchandisers through regular 121 meetings, managing against clear KPI's and following McCormick performance processes.
-Ensure data points are maintained by regular review and feedback to drive availability and compliance across the team and store estate.
-Manage assigned headcount in line with budget ensuring service levels to stores through frequency of visits is not negatively impacted.
-When required complete order release on McCormick system.
-Represent route to market in stores and McCormick HO resolving issues and providing feedback in a timely manner.
-Represent and demonstrate McCormick values throughout the MMS operation working closely with HR to ensure this is achieved.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

-Degree level ideally within business/operations/management.
-Previous experience in management in FMCG.
-Evidence of delivery against targets and goals.
-Previous performance management experience.
-Managing and supporting direct reports with HR issues with minimum escalation.
-Excellent communicator written and verbal across all levels including senior board.
-Ability to adapt style/behavior to positively impact the performance of the team.
-Coach and manage individuals to drive a high performing team through clear goals and vision.
-Influence across the team to deliver consistent results to meet and exceed business needs.
-Empower direct reports to make key decisions, driving their capability and confidence.
-Management of remote employees is a benefit but not essential.
