Full Job Description

Are you a registered Nurse/Midwife looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy working in a busy and varied environment? Are you an experienced manager who is wanting to work in Public Health?, We are looking for an experienced manager with immunisation experience, to lead the Banbury and Witney school aged vaccination team in the delivery of the School Aged Immunisation Programme in Primary, Secondary and Independent Schools as well as other community venues. The role will be based in Witney with frequent travel to Banbury.
The ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the Service is essential, as is a willingness to explore alternative methods of immunisation delivery to reduce health inequalities in hard-to-reach groups. You will identify barriers to vaccination and introduce innovative ways of overcoming them.
The role offers a flexible working pattern, to meet service need requiring occasional evening and weekend working.

You will be well organised, a strong communicator with good IT skills. Previous experience of working in schools or other environments with children and young people is advantageous but not essential.
This is a fast moving and very busy role so the ability to work well under pressure and to be a key team player is a must. We are looking for adaptable, flexible people with excellent skills who will enjoy working in a challenging and busy environment.
To ensure that vaccination sessions commence on time you may need to start at 07.30 on prearranged days and also be able to work evenings and weekends. The ability to be flexible with ones working pattern is therefore essential.
Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a car for work. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010.
